Acidanthera murielae

This is the flower I was intending being the blip subject yesterday before the fly got in on the act. I've never managed to get them flowering before, though the leaves make a nice structural effect.
Unbroken sunshine all day, though a chilly start.
Cycled up to Foodbank where we weren't busy providing food (we did have a referral but no-one came to collect the bags) but there were several other things to catch up on and food to eat. The Men's Group had a barbecue and invited the community workers and volunteers.
Sat in the garden with my sewing in the afternoon before doing a bit of gardening and the running group went for a run in the country. We had to have a long pause as about 20 horses turned up the field-edge path just before we got there and we were going much faster than they were. We also had to move off the path as they didn't "leave no trace"!
