Greenbank Church
Spent most of the day in the garden in the shade as it's been 25C today. Took a wee walk later around Clarkston where I saw this great church.
Dated 1884, Greenbank parish Church was built in the Early English Gothic style to the designs of the architect William Gardner Rowan, of McKissack and Rowan. It was extended in the 1930s by the architect, Joseph Wilson, with the addition of the present chancel and vestry. And a bit more history of the church here.
... and yesterday's photo was ...
... as many guessed a dahlia! Well done those of you who got it right!! :-))
The extras are the original flower which I zoomed into and cropped for the blip and the display of dahlias that are growing in the gardens at Pollok Park where I took the photo.
