What A Day

I went out early to post an application for a craft fair and then went for a bot of a walk in the lovely rising sun.
The first (and the last) picture I took was reverting back to an old habit of mine ... feathers, where they fall.
The next one was not the same feather and it certainly wasn't where it fell - but it made me smile.
That and the light was nice.
The nice light encouraged me descend into another old habit when I was in the darker area of the woods ...... In Camera Movement.
I was quite surprised when I came across the patch of huge mushrooms/fungi (if it is nice tomorrow morning I may go on a hunt for others in another wood where there is normally a good variety). They were a goof 8"-9" in  diameter.
The light coming through the leaves and casting shadows was wonderful and throwing some lovely abstract shapes .But I will let you find the pictures if you want to look.

SWMBO and I went go some timber for making a work stand for my new sanding machine and for some fuel (well, I went for it and SWMBO came along for the ride).
What a flaming increase in the price of timber (and to a lesser degree, the fuel) ... more than double the price since I bought the last lot a couple of years ago.

Making the work stand go smoothly either, but I got there in the end.
It also meant I had to move stuff around and do a bit of tidying up, but there is an awful lot more to do.
