Comparison

The adult female Red Kite is on the right, and the larger of her two chicks is on the left.  It's interesting to compare them.  The juvenile doesn't have her deep yellow beak yet, and his or her feathers are paler and generally "fluffier".  My garden is full of small fluffy feathers, and some handsome tail and wing feathers, as this is the time of year when they moult.
