Rush hour at Fox Glacier

Lake Mapourika to Nr Haast
Woke to sunshine...mmmmmmmm. Visited Lake Mapourika which is famous for its tranquil reflections of the forest and mountains. by the time we got there a breeze was up and the clouds had descended. This pattern remained the same through out the day, with additional spitting and then sudden down pours, but always the natural beauty remains astonishingly wonderful.
Walked up to base camp (snout/terminal/ice face at the bottom on the glacier) of The Fox glacier. Not a hard boiled sweet or polar bear in sight!
