The ticket office restoration…

This tiny building was the ticket office for shows in Candie Auditorium many years ago. It must be over 50 years since it’s been used and it has gradually fallen into disrepair. I doubt many people had ever noticed it was there at all (I did!) until somebody put a photograph on Facebook and sensationalised the fact that our Guernsey heritage was being allowed to go to rack and ruin! Demands were made for it to be restored because life would not be the same without it. All sorts of ideas were put forward for possible future uses. But it’s just a tiny one person ticket office with a wooden hatch, not a tardis! 
I don’t know whether it is simply being restored exactly as it was or slightly enlarged. There is a lot of scaffolding but the ground falls away sharply so it’s probably just a platform to stand on.
