SALVIA coerulea: Blue Anise Sage
Angus & I came across this perennial
herb on our walk near the library. It is also called Anise Scented Sage or Brazilian Sage because it is native to South America.
Soon I am going to remove all the grass in my front garden & put in colorful drought resistant plants. Because it flowers
from Spring through Autumn & thrives in
full sun, I think it might be a good candidate for my project. It also attracts bees, butterflies & hummingbirds, which is a bonus.
The symbolism for this lovely flower is:
Thoughtfulness, Longevity, Wisdom & Good Health.
I am sold on it. Now, to find it.
