Sandstone Falls

After breakfast we checked out of the hotel, and drove over to Sandstone Falls, the largest waterfall on the New River spanning 1500 feet across. Divided by islands, the falls drop from 10 to 25 feet. A boardwalk crosses two bridges leading to islands and observation decks with great views of the falls. The bottom right photo in my collage was a leaf suspended in mid air by a spider’s thread! By this time, it was time to start our journey home. A good few days away!
