On the Forest Floor

Here is a collection of tiny pine needles, twigs and pinecones under our Blue Spruce.  This tree that was here when we moved in 32 years ago, was planted too close to the sidewalk.  It's grown huge over the years and we keep the sidewalk side trimmed so people can walk under the overhanging branches.  The neighborhood kids love to play under it because it's like a little forest underneath.  So, this is the closest I got to the forest theme for Tiny Tuesday today.  Many thanks to H0tamer for hosting!

I am grateful that a last minute gift I ordered for my brother's birthday arrived today.  Good thing, because tomorrow is his birthday!
