Fistulina hepatica (Beefsteak fungus)

Saw this rather superb specimin in great wood today. Beefsteak fungus is not only edible, but very tasty. As a typical photographer, I left it there in case anyone else might want to photograph it. It does look like it might be a good year for fungi.

As I didn't have a reflector with me, I used the torch on my iphone to light up the underside, to show its creamy, tuboid structure.
