Fluffy Thistledown
... waiting for the wind to carry it to pastures new.
It reminds me of Old Man's Beard - the fluffy seeds of clematis - and set me off on writing a new limerick - albeit at a bit of a tangent:
An eye rhyme is seen but not heard,
Like a man with an overgrown beard.
Some full rhymes look weird,
But are not to be feared;
It is half rhymes we give a wide berth.

Actually, I quite like half rhymes in poetry, but I prefer full rhymes in limericks. Either way, I enjoy playing with words.
