Walking on the ......

...... wild side !!
On my short walk this morning I saw this mass of wind flowers, they are prolific in Croydon also the grass had gone wild ( I'd say untidy) . It was a chilly walk , temperature still didn't rise above 17%c , for the last day of August I think it's very disappointing.
Managed to do a bit of dead heading & watered a couple of pots, also popped into Waitrose for a couple of bits. Picked up 3 gifts .
A guy knocked the door to give me an estimate to cut the top of the hedge. Sad I hadn't got any cash . I subsequently went to the P.O. but I'd missed them by then. Do hope I can get them back cos' it's well out of control now.
