Mooching in Millport

As there’s not a lot else to do.

Many visitors’ moorings in the bay, but nowhere to beach a dingy, apart from a very barnacle-encrusted rock and concrete slipway which gets covered when the tide comes in. My hands were well exfoliated (I.e. minus far too many layers of skin) by the time we’d cast off again. I think I may write to the local council to ask about them installing a dingy pontoon for next time we visit! I’m a very demanding visitor.

We’ve been invited onto another yacht for drinks this evening, so that should be jolly. It’s always interesting getting into and out of a small inflatable dingy at the back of a boat at the best of times, but after a few glasses of vino? We’ll see….
