Silly Ass!

I’ve been a little bit absent from Blipland recently, but there’s been rather a lot going on. All’s fine with me and Alan and thank you to those of you who have messaged to see if everything’s ok.

I’ve been feeling tired after a few busy (but fun) weeks with the girls and work is just so busy and intense that my mind is pretty blown when I finish that I don’t feel like writing anything! And then last Tuesday I got a call from mum’s neighbour to say that she’d had another fall. This time he’d let himself in with a spare key at 11.30am as her curtains were still closed, and he found her on the floor near the bathroom, where apparently she’d been since 4am. She’s now in hospital and a care package is being put in place for her at home, and she’ll be going into respite until this is sorted.

We managed to get away for a couple of nights for the weekend though, which was pre-booked and which was much needed. We went to a little Airbnb in a very secluded spot near a river and at the foot of the Berwyn mountains. It was the perfect getaway surrounded by chicken and sheep!

We checkout out Sunday morning and drive to Bala lake for breakfast and then onto Barmouth. It was very busy, but we had a lovely walk and I was thrilled to see the donkeys on the beach - particularly this one making an ass of itself :-). Our next stop was Llyn Trawsfyndd where I cooked venison burgers in Berties kitchen.

It was a lovely couple of days, but now back to reality!
