Today's the day ........................ when best-laid schemes gang a-gley

Lots of people's weekend plans went out the window when we woke up to snow blizzards today.

For once, we did better than most and there really wasn't all that much in this part of South Lakeland. In fact, in Kendal itself there wasn't any. But it was a different story elsewhere. PaulaJ and Gordon were supposed to be coming here tonight for a glass of wine and some of Will's homemade pizza - but it was not to be.

We went ahead and ate the pizza - but look forward to seeing them again another time and doing it all again ..........................
