Home made card for Jodie's birthday tomorrow. A bit of effort went into making it, so it's good to record it here.

Spent the best part of today getting the house straight after Hayley and family, and then all the Grands staying on Saturday. Phew! We've not had anyone to stay for nearly 2 years with Covid regulations, so it was a shock to the system. The washing machine has been going none stop.

Hayley has put together a photobook for Jodie, photos and messages from friends and family, most of them funny and some crazy.I think the main picture gives an idea of her craziness! It's a fabulous book. She gave it to her at the meal out yesterday. There was a very emotional moment though. One of Jodie's long standing friends in the village, and from schooldays died a couple of weeks ago. Tragically random, she fell asleep on the sofa and never woke up, PM is inconclusive, and funeral next Monday. Her message finished with the words "Looking forward to the next 40 years". We were all in tears. Joodie's description of Amy was "She was a hard working, loud and could be quite rude, but with that came a big personality, love, laughter and fab memories. Now all gone." Jodie did wonder about cancelling her party, but we persuaded her not to. Their friends were grateful she didn't as they needed the fun time together after a toast was made to Amy.
