York Balloon fiesta.

So since Saturday we have been at caravan. On Saturday tea time we went to the balloon fiesta which was happening on the Knavesmire all bank holiday weekend. Darren was going to meet a friend from work and his wife there. They made a big fuss of me and so did lots of other people. We watched the balloons being inflated and then taking off, it was quite spectacular. They then went to get something to eat and as some of the food stalls had massive queues they went to the German sausage stall as that only had a short queue. They all had the same one, a big sausage with melted cheese in the middle of it, Darren really enjoyed it, it was quite a spicy sausage.
They then watched a Rod Stewart tribute singer, he was really good, then they watched Europe’s number one Dolly Parton tribute act, she was very good too. Then at around 9 o’clock they did the lighting up of the balloons to music, which again was spectacular, it’s called the night glow, if you ever get chance to see something like that you should go for it, it’s a great visual experience.
A great evening was had by all and even I enjoyed it, because of the constant fussing I was getting from other people.
