Re-homing

Quite a day really.

Significantly, HatBox and SkyeMan left to catch a plane for Skye.

A friend brought a daughter round who desperately wants a lizard as a pet and we have one. It was love at first sight, a little tear-jerking even, and so James the Lizard has gone to live with her where he’ll be loved more than here. James the Lizard was DougsJB’s lizard and he’s probably over 20 years old, as is DougsJB. I feel a little startled but know it’s right.

And then another friend just turned up with a 12-week old chick. Elbows was out all day playing cricket so it was quite something to pull together a second chicken run as the little hen can’t go in with the other hens just yet.

We’re going to call her Kiera. Our Rhode Rock hen Knightly, is quite aggressive towards other hens so I’m not sure how this is going to work.
