About 18 months on from planting, the hornbeam seems to have got away well (originally not - or barely - out of the tree guards).  Little bit of chlorosis showing but that has happened elsewhere on our hornbeam and they seemed to recover after a year or two.  Maybe just an early autumn as it has been pretty dry most of the Summer.
