Swarm of
starlings…….lol
they were absolutely everywhere this morning, a sure sign that autumn is approaching :-/
I was watching this lot out the kitchen window whilst stood eating my breakfast. A bowl full of mango, melon, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, banana, with lemon fat free yogurt and a sprinkle of grape nuts for a bit of crunch….. just in case you ever wondered what my “fruity”. breakfast consists of lol! The fruit does vary though.
I slept really well after my 21k steps yesterday, it was after midnight when I went to bed and 9.05 when I woke this morning!
I popped out in the car to collect a couple of bottles of 19 Crimes, a few bottles of beer and some bottled lemonade as youngest and DiL are coming round for dinner, hence the cookathon yesterday ;-) A stop for a coffee whilst having my weekly catch up with sis in law……all seems good darn sarf.
We have all been a bit weepy this last few days on and off, me, daughter, both sons, sis in law…Im convinced its connected to the moon cycles or something, cant be a coincidence that we all seem to feel this way at the same time :-/ its not the first time either!!
Back home, a bit of tidying around, swept the driveway and the path to the front door, where the birds had deposited little clumps of dried moss off the porch I think. My fuschia hanging baskets are still flowering their heads off but some of the buds are dropping now.
Son & DiL arrived 3ish…we sat outside chatting, having a drink for an hour or so, but it clouded over and got a bit cool so we came indoors, dinner was ready in any case. Slow cooked pork shoulder with chilli peppers, onions, lots of seasonings equalled a Hungarian goulash, with sour cream, rice and garlic ciabatta……..went down a treat with a bottle of beer :-) Just a little treat for dessert, small individual Belgian chocolate melt in the middle puddings, with pouring cream :-)
We chatted away and before we knew it it was 8.30, almost dark, the bats were flying around over the back garden, DiL was watching with me….. then it was time for them to get off home, until next time, which funnily enough will be next Sunday :-)
Ive watched the new drama Vigil, looks promising,
then MotD, currently listening to Liam Gallagher wailing, not my favourite, will be turning him off shortly lol as its time for bed.
Hope you're all having a good bank holiday so far
