Newest artist on the block

For a while Asha's been wanting to take our paints to the Festival Club and do a bit of spraying in a secluded spot...today was that day! We found a wall with not much happening and enjoyed a morning there...also adding colour into various extra bits that had chipped away etc. We found various bits of broken mirror too so sprayed the shape of the island onto them - now they're cleaned up they actually look quite good - see extra. Anyway, the kids absolutely loved it all...and there aren't many places where graffiti is ok let alone actively encouraged. We finished off the morning's art with a picnic there and then headed home for a movie and an ice pop. 

Today I'm grateful for;
1) The kids really enjoying the painting.
2) Hearing that one of the Roma sets of parents from Asha's class will be getting baptised next weekend!
3) Living in a place that encourages creativity. 

And happy birthday Mishkid/Deb - we should have sprayed you a message! x
