Slumber Party

My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

I slept in the living room last night. It was to ensure the peace and tranquility of the catty household.

It was because Dr. Girlfriend didn't want to leave the house when Caro went to bed last night. Caro was worried about leaving the little girl alone with Punky on the loose, so I closed the living room door and slept on the couch with Jasper. Dave slept on the cat tree and Dr. Girlfriend had a chair. I needed to be in the room with them, in case Dave or DG wanted out.

The three cats had a fine sleep. Me, not so much, but at least they were warm and safe and comfortable. Still, I felt happy. DG is a sweet little thing and she was so happy that she got to spend the night. I woke up at 4.30am, gave the two interlopers breakfast then sent them on their way.

I love our little cat family.

Speaking of family, Shenée called at lunchtime. She didn't even have anything much to say, just hi and how are you doing. She and Caro chatted happily for a few minutes then she was off back to her chickens.

I guess the lockdown has illuminated what I already knew, that my team at work has become a little like a surrogate family. To complement my catty one.

It is full of such thoughts that I have spent a quiet Sunday with my lovely Caro, writing more stories of Cutie the Red Panda. I'm trying to make these tales of warmth and friendship with no baddies and just characters based on people I like.

You'd probably find yourselves in there, if you were to read them.
