Not going out

Just back from a miserable walk in the rain, no blip opportunity, wet, cold, fed up.
Tried an experiment with the remote flash under the glass table - shows promise but the focus is out (didn't see that until I got it on the computer). I have decided not to shoot it again as I am about to consume the subject - Cheers!
