Finally !

It's been really hard getting close enough to one of the hummers to get a good shot in good lighting. I decided to  lurk in the yard and two of them were buzzing around but neither seemed to be at the feeder. There seemed to be more chasing away from the feeder going on  than anything else. One would chase the second from the feeder than sit in the apple tree ( see extra) until the next round. Then I spotted a hummer in the buddleia. Aha!
change positions and lurk behind Elise's car! Voila! hummingbird photos.
I think what was going on was adult hummer protecting the great flower ( ie feeder) and juvenile hummer getting the actual flowering bush. But he seems quite happy with that!and so am I.
