When I looked out of the kitchen window earlier I noticed the Heron walking along the river bank.  It's a shame he had reached the lilacs before I was able to hide behind my cabin to get a picture.   He's a bit obliterated by them but I had to post my only picture of him, if only for my own records..   He's very shy and as soon as he heard the camera click he flew off down stream.
