Last day. A loop from Newton Stuart

OMG, the scenery today was so beautiful I could have cried. Cycling along in the sunshine what more could you want surrounded by stunning hills and heather clad moors. Wow!

We started in Newton Stuart and then along the most spectacular road to Gatehouse of Fleet for our first tea stop.  Then through the Forest of Galloway along a 9 mile track! - the Raiders Road,  popularised by the writer S.R. Crockett in his novel 'The Raiders', a story of cattle rustling and Border intrigue. The first mile was horrible, but I got kind of used to it and the scenery compensated. It did seem to get better.  Our last day and we may have saved the best until last. Second tea stop at Clatteringshaws by the Loch side. Then a fast run back to Newton Stuart - 57 miles. We did stop at the wild goats and had a wee stroke. As Mr PB says I think we will be back!

We have cycled 464 glorious miles
