I can see it Mr P

We are standing on the old motte in Kendal, built about 1092 and looking across to castle no 2 dating from the 1200s.  Castle no 2, is hidden in the trees in the middle of the photo and Mr P is  pointing it out to me. He had not been up here before, to see the obelisk that marks the Revolution of 1688 and thought it a good site for an orienteering checkpoint on the course he is planning,  What revolution took place in 1688 ???
