It's Flower Friday!

Today I had a hair appointment.  I park at a supermarket and then redeem the parking fee by shopping afterwards.  The walk to and from the hairdresser is quite a reasonable one so that has taken care of today's exercise.  The weather has continued to be so grey that frankly walking for the sake of it is not all that appealing at the moment.
Today's flowers are yet another bunch of asters that I picked up on Wednesday after my coffee outing.

In other news:  in sharp contrast to the triviality of my daily life the horror in Afghanistan continues.  There was a suicide bomb attack at Kabul airport for which IS-K have now claimed responsibility.  95 lives lost, amongst them US servicemen and three Brits, one a child.  Apparently the UK will complete its evacuations early, by tomorrow.
On the coronavirus front, cases continue to rise in all four nations of the UK, although it is not clear if hospitalisations and deaths are following suit
