2021 Friday — For Sale on Friday

The fog was thick, I mean mysterious thick, all day; I mean ALL day. And it was cold. So this month is going to own its nickname “Fogust” till its last day. We’ve had a lot of overcast; shades of gray, but not thick fog since early August. So today felt like winter all day.

Then middle of the afternoon we heard hammering. I looked at the front windows to see a man install a sign. And just like that, the lot across our street is For Sale.

The lot is owned by the couple who own the house just across the street from us. They rent it and live in Oregon. They are related to the previous owners of our little house. So out of the fog a sign.
