Tumbled wall
A short walk today from the village of Finstown, through the small wood at Binscarth and along the path that leads to Refuge Corner. I don't know why this wall has collapsed as it has.
Futher along the path I came to Wasdale which is, I believe, named after the Detroit band of the 80's which produced such classics as 'Out Come the Freaks', 'Tell Me That I'm Dreaming' and 'Hello Dad, I'm in Jail'. I must repurchase their album 'Born to Laugh at Tornadoes'.
Why the dale and adjoining loch were named for the band is a mystery that shall, I suspect, resist all investigation.
