New Bench

Today I managed to walk up the trail up the hill to the viewing spot…only a few tricky parts.  Whew.     This space was on our next property which we sold at the beginning of the pandemic to the neighbor on the other side of it,  It was a mess down below  from the Dec 20 2018 storm almost hurricane which blew down many trees and this neighbor bought a big excavator to clean it up…something we could never do.  I will blip what it looks like now on a nice sunny day (he’s brought the light in) and compare.  

But this is the top with the view of Trincomali channel and a few little islands north.   I’d feel better with all those clouds if they’d drop some rain!   We had a small bench we made up there…in this blip  (it refuses to link. for some odd reason  ..IT's march 11,.2020   so I added the photo to the extras.  you can see our wee bench in front of H).) right before we left for what turned out to be 17 months-- the border was closed on the 21st.    The new owners have replaced it with this bench (NIk said it looked like a “city bench” and Tatum thought it was in the wrong place too.)  they are also doing a massive Scots Broom clean up.    My rock labyrinth that was there is no more.  Too many machines crossing over it.  (extra)  We all enjoyed it.  Change is inevitable.  I’m OK with that..we have a good agreement with them.
