Old versus New
I had a little bit of a trip down digital memory lane today. I took the girls' up to Tan Hill, which is one of the highest points in Wiltshire in the morning. They liked the view, the white horse (although, it's not as impressive at the Uffington one) and the messing around on a hill!
Just out of curiosity I took a 16 year-old Nikon D70s (which I started Blipfoto with back in 2012) and a less than a year-old Canon R5. Quite a contrast. The DSLR felt old and Nintendo-like in it's menu system. The Canon was like a space ship in comparison. It was also easier navigating on a 3-odd in touch screen versus a 1.8 inch screen that my eyes nowadays struggle with!
However, for all the age of the camera, it still produces nice images in the right conditions. Dare I say it, but I actually prefer the colours on the old Nikon CCD sensor straight out of camera. I hardly had to edit the photo here at all.
There's no chance of me swapping back to the Nikon, but it's good to know that it still produces lovely images.
