A grand entrance
Today we paid a short visit to the New Victoria Hospital in Glasgow. The car park is at the rear and this is just outside the back door of the hospital. As well as the ornate archway, obviously the doorway from a much older building, there are 2 smaller ones: BOYS and GIRLS. It didn't take much sleuthing on Wikipedia to find out that the car park is the site of the former Queen's Park School opened in 1876. How wonderful to have rescued these doorways when the school was demolished.
The new starter motor doesn't fit. If I hadn't been so busy steering I might have taken a picture of the marina workboat towing us from the fuel dock, where we have been stranded since Monday, back to our own berth as they quite reasonably want to be able to sell diesel to other boats over the weekend. Still lovely weather, still stuck. Bah.
