Rosebay willowherb

We went out for a cycle today to Tentsmuir, taking the bikes to the edge of the forest. We rode to the carpark where we had crepes with chorizo, cheddar, spinach and chili jam - then more with nutella, biscuit and marshmallow! The area behind the creperie was full of seeding willowherb.
A pause was needed before continuing our circuit as the second part was on rougher tracks. One section which has limited vehicle access was labelled "fragile road" - it was okay if taken carefully but hard on the backside!.
Once back at the car we went for a short walk to the Morton Lochs NNR, the water was very green and not many birds but a family of mallards were practising inline swimming (see extra).
Back home we sat in the garden and enjoyed the sunshine, it was much cooler but still present.
