Movin' On Up

The young couple with a baby girl who live in an apartment across the street are moving out. It's been a busy day in front of my window as trucks and cars and stuff are coming and going. I'm happy they finally found a nice house to buy. So the theme to the 70's TV series "The Jeffersons" has been stuck on repeat in my brain today.

Well we're movin on up,
To the east side.
To a deluxe apartment in the sky.
Movin on up,
To the east side.
We finally got a piece of the pie.

And in other good news, after receiving two job application rejection letters yesterday, today I was called by an agency that invited me for an interview.
It's only a six-month assignment, but would be a great foot in the German career door if I land it. Ironically, it's one of only 2 applications I had to write in German, for a job that doesn't necessarily require much English. My appointment is Monday afternoon - wish me luck!

And now I think I will officially kick off happy hour and a weekend of doing the "happy dance" to celebrate an inch of success :)

PS - and one more bit of good news: my friend's Internet was finally connected today(we waited for it all afternoon on Wednesday). Look for KristiS to be blipping again soon!
