The Old School

Blip from my trip through the west the other day.
Gourock High School is no more it’s now St Columba’s High School.
GHS amalgamated with Greenock Academy and formed a new school called Clydeview Academy.
Left GHS in ‘66 when my folks moved to Inverness & I wanted to earn a living !!!
Guess what my first job was ? Laundry boy for York Drive Laundry in Inverness @ £5 a week. Going out to the towns & villages in a large van with a mad driver collecting/delivering from hotels & guest house from Inverness to Fort William & beyond in all weathers.
Nice to see the area again, brought back some memories.
