Plastered

N took his car to the garage first thing to have his winter tyres swapped back to summer ones. I laughed at his timing because it was snowing. 30 minutes later he rang me to say he had broken his leg and was lying on the floor waiting for an ambulance. 45 minutes later I caught up with him in A&E. The photo is of the mess on the floor after his first temporary plaster was applied. He's now waiting to go to theatre to have his leg literally screwed back together. This was his first day off work for ages and we were supposed to be going out for lunch. What a day off it's turned out to be!
