Distress

I took the NEX-6 to Stratford in search of inspiration. It's a great little camera for street photography but I'm still not much good at that. What is nice is the flip-out screen that allows you to look down at the camera as if you are reviewing pictures when in fact you are taking them. Sneaky eh?

As an ex boy scout, I couldn't ignore this upside-down union flag. Flying the flag upside down is meant to indicate distress and the state of this canal boat looked pretty distressed.

There was widespread indignation in 2009 when the flag was shown flying upside down at a UK/China treaty ceremony
