En vacances #3
After a quiet morning at home, at lunchtime I went with Graham and Kat to 'Sweet Horses' farm for a leisurely "Turkish breakfast". The full works. A table laden with dishes of everything you might associate with breakfast - and some you wouldn't (eg: chips!!). We ended up staying all afternoon, eating, chatting, enjoying the surroundings. I've never been there before - a combination of horse riding centre, holiday chalets, swimming pool and outdoor restaurant with, amongst other creatures, chickens and rabbits running about the gardens! Back home around 5pm, we spent well over an hour in the pool, followed by an hour in the garden enjoying the last of the warm sunshine.
The cockerel whose plumage provides todays pic was beautiful. He and his mate were human friendly, strutting their stuff around the gardens. So nice to see such healthy birds.
Today would have been Mum's 90th birthday, so, as always, bro and I raise a glass at 9pm UK time - me here in Turkey, bro in Essex. Happy birthday Mum, miss you.
