Lowther Castle

We went to Lowther Castle today and had a great day.  Interesting place, good food all set off by marvellous warm weather and blue skies.  We walked around the grounds and saw the new rose garden.  After lunch we walked a circuit to Askham (see abstract of River Lowther) and back to Lowther.

Home via the Lakes - Pooley Bridge, Glenridding, Kirkstone Pass, Troutbeck Windermere, Newby Bridge and home.
