Poppy Seedheads

I have been inspired by other blip photos of poppy seed heads - and so I decided to have a go in the garden….attempting to get the ‘invisible black background’ using a small aperture and a speedlight.  I haven’t quite got it right as the flash has caught some of the poppy stems behind the main subject... :-)

Well the Leeds Festival got underway today…with miles and miles of traffic queuing to get into the venue

One does wonder at the wisdom of this event going ahead….given that Cornwall has a huge spike in cases following a surf festival there recently…

Bramham Park (just across the A1(M)) is host to the Leeds Festival and is expecting up to 150,000 revellers (predominantly young and I guess mostly unvaccinated). Of course, they will all be sensible, hygienic and socially distant all weekend and then on Monday will be travelling all over the country to get home again and spread it about. Reading is also hosting a similar event at the same time

Wave 4 and lockdown here we come…. :-(

I also see that Tesco and Iceland have started to warn about food supply problems for Christmas and have asked people not to panic buy…cue empty shelves in the supermarkets (again)…..
