The hands

I walked into my son's room as he was practicing his clarinet. It was a rather difficult piece by Carl Maria Von Weber (1785-1826) and then when I saw what he was wearing I wondered what old Weber would have made of The Beatles...their music is so simple in comparison, but very catchy, so perhaps he would have enjoyed their songs?

Weber reputedly had very large hands (so many of the pieces he wrote for piano are physically difficult to play) and in this photo it looks like my son has very large hands - not sure if he has, but the hands in this image are a tribute to Carl Maria Von Weber.
