Parmo

This is the local delicacy in Middlesbrough where we had lunch with friends today.

It’s on the specials board as Chicken Parmesan but the locals call it Parmo.
It’s breaded chicken topped with bechamel sauce and cheese.

I had to try it and although tasty, it totally beat me - I was so stuffed!
I hate leaving food on the plate but this high carb dish (as you can see, comes with chips) was a few mouthfuls too big for me.

Happy to try the local nosh :) I’ve searched for it on blip. One blipper described it as heart attack on a plate, eek!!!

After my parmo lunch (hubby had a pie), we went home, arriving in our little home in lovely Leicestershire in the evening.

So nice to be home.
