Waiting outside.

Forth Valley Royal Hospital and a blue sky. A great establishment. Busier now. We picked up our younger son after his work. He had a follow-up appointment after his recent A&E attendance. It’s pretty much patients only beyond the atrium. We waited outside in one of the garden areas in the shade, it was 25 degrees. The white tent is one of several temporary additional staff rest areas across the site. Coincidentally today the Scottish Government published its NHS Recovery Plan - it outlines a range of reforms across primary and acute NHS services to help recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and get everyone the treatment they need as quickly as possible.

We’d home made cottage pie in the garden after the hospital.

Scotland Covid case figures are at all time high. Fortunately hospitalisation numbers are tempered by the high vaccination dose rate, but it’s not as simple as that by a long way. Notably too, the distribution is not just urban areas but rural - including many staycation tourist hotspots.
