Late Summer

Met Elaine in Harrogate and we walked the trail from Valley Gardens up to Harlow Carr.
Went in plant sales and had the opportunity to take a photograph of this Philip Haas sculpture modelled on the Giuseppe Arcimboldo paintings.
We used to have a framed print of one of them in our last house, l gave it to the school where l taught when we moved here as we didn’t have room for it.
I know it’s been blipped a lot before but it was an unexpected sight to come across, think it is Summer… if l remember correctly Autumn has lots more berries on it.
Also saw the butterfly in extras, there were so many!
Not in my plans but l bought a braided rug in the gift shop.
Typical, when l wasn’t driving, l had to carry it around with me for the rest of the day :-))
We bought a picnic lunch at Betty’s and took it back to Vally Gardens to enjoy it with a decent flat white from the gazebo.
