Eaten Mess

My day was predominantly about gardening. It is my day to go to Richards and tend the half acre or so of lawn, and borders, and pots, and 90 metres of hedge that I planted earlier in the year, and weed and sweep 70 metres of tarmac driveway. Amongst other things.
There is a vegetable patch which is not my domain, so I leave it alone. I notice the cabbages were ready to dig last week, but it didn't get done. Sad, really. No one is going to get their greens in this house. The caterpillars got there first.
