Oh Snow!

I believe it was chilly last night. It also snowed. About two fingers-worth, that was all. Enough to make your average UK airport to grind to a halt, but in practice just enough in Uppsala to freshen up the black/white contrasts, and to make cycling on the snow and ice just a touch more hazardous (but it didn't seem to be stopping anyone).

Beautiful day here, and the combination of snow, cold, sun and some wind is really quite invigorating.

The conference isn't bad either. I had to get up at 6am to fiddle with a powerpoint presentation.

We are meeting just under that dome. It's the historic anatomical theatre in the Gustavianum, which was the original building of Uppsala University when it was founded in the 15th century. This choice of blip proves that it is practically, if not literally, impossible to take a photograph in Uppsala in which the big mother cathedral does not appear.
