Let the sun shine in
Well I did let the sun shine in today,a glorious sunny day in Timaru,Facebook is playing up and have not had a response from the fb team surprise surprise. Well the sun realy shone in even more this afternoon, Millie whoI have been coaching for the last 6 months, is in Auckland this weekend competing at theNew Zealand Athletics Championships. A couple of weeks ago Millie met the standard to represent Canterbury at this weekends Championship meeting by winning the Caterbury 3000m championship in the U18 womens event. This afternoon Millie lined up on the start line for the 3000m with 15 other U18 women the biggest field Millie has ever run in. From what I have been told and worked out, Millie hung on to the front runners for dear life and worked her way through the field, by the time the front runners reached the 7 laps of the 7 and 1/2 laps on the 400m track it come down to a 200m sprint for the finish. 5 seconds seperated the winner from 3rd place. I am so proud of what Millie has done and the work she has put into her training well how did Millie go. WHOOHOO MILLIE FINISHED 3RD IN NEW ZEALAND sorry for yelling I was so excited when I saw the results before Millie rang me. Congratulations goes to the medal winners.
