Instant Gratification and Toi Toi
Evening walk after a day putting the finishing touches to The Bossess Computer system. The Boss reports that it has been an interesting adventure and has discovered some really interesting things now going on in NZ including an enterprise email exchange (as per Microsoft Exchange) that is totally web based and very inexpensive. Along with a back up system that is also a phone call away. Having recently been trying to deal completely unsuccessfully with a US based system he was very attracted to something home grown. At lunch he was reading his PSA journal (Photographic Society of America) and there was a review of a new book about photography that he liked the look of. He took his iPad to the big "A" store and found a Kindle edition so purchased and sent it to iPad (for colour pics etc) and started reading it with lunch. What was amazing is that the images in it were all enlargeable with the finger thing so you could get a large look. Talk about instant gratification. Normally getting books from the US is a 3 week operation and has freight involved.
This one cost a cup of coffee and a small snack. There is another great site that sells photography short books for $4.00. There have been some grrreat titles there as well as wonderful inspiring images. I am now looking for a site that delivers virtual cheese. Not really sure how this will work out BUT worth a try I recon.
Toi Toi's are a New Zealand treat especially when they are back lit and evening walks do this.
Step forward (mind the swampy bit)
