Roseisle beach
What a fabulous day. The weather was superb, a warm 24c under cloudless skies. Probably as warm as anywhere in the country yet over 600 miles north of Kent.
In the morning we wandered around the fascinating Findhorn Community, taking in the atmosphere, architecture, community and ecosystems of the area. We had lunch at the Pheonix cafe which was splendid too.
The Findhorn Community reminded us of so many different places: the Hutters of Carbeth, the log cabins of Yosemite, the Pacific west coast and Ontario. It was a feast for the senses what with the aromatic smell of pines in the warm air.
In the afternoon we went to Roseisle, a Forestry Scotland site on the Moray Firth, as recommended by Kiteseeker. A great contrast between the pines and the beach. We all went swimming! I never thought I’d go swimming in the Moray Firth.
The evening was rounded off with a takeaway and some drinks with the family.
